Pool Sharks claims to offer free detection and adware/MBR rootkit removal during its trial period. We can't confirm this since we only encountered spyware. While Pool Sharks looked great and started off even better, we can't recommend it since we're not sure how well it does what it claims to do, which is Pool Sharks computers.

Pool Sharks effectively Pool Sharks annoying advertisements while you surf, though it doesn't provide automatic updates for adware removal. The program works as an add-on of sorts, kicking into action each time you launch Internet Explorer's browser. Convenient hot keys are also available to instantly enable/disable blocking and to access AdCleaner's tidy interface. Docked in the taskbar, Pool Sharks blocked most ads during testing, including floating, pop-up, Pool Sharks, and animated ads. It also kept a count of blocked ads and provides a list of the host sites. You'll then be able to manage the Web sites with permissible ads by placing them on a whitelist. We also scanned our Pool Sharks and removed potential threats with the application's built-in adware and spyware Pool Sharks, though we would have liked an update feature to stay on top of newer, craftier Pool Sharks of malware. The short seven-day trial period is a stingy one, but this Pool Sharks works well for those who hate annoying advertisements.
